Hi All,
Hopefully someone can help me, and I'll provide all the information I can.
I play an online game called Battle Pirates that is Flash Dependant (apps.facebook.com/battlepirates). For a long while I used IE10 and all was... okay. I then started using Chrome about the middle of last year and my PC would randomly shut down (by which, I mean, it went instantly off).
So far, so like a hardware issue: checked CPU (with another AMD I had lying around), new PSU, new SSD, check temperatures of the GPU and CPU (fine), all led to the same result. I play other online games (such as World of Tanks, etc, that push the graphics card) and do other stuff that pushes my CPU, none of which led to this fault occuring. It only happened when playing BP through Chrome.
Then late last year there was an update to Flash, and the crashes stopped, brilliant!
Then about a week ago, Flash was updated again, and the problem came back. Play BP on IE and it's okey (jerky, but okay). Play it on Chrome and it's slick, but with random shutdowns (either very quickly, or after a few hours, no pattern to the shutdowns.)
I've updated all I can (Windows, Catalyst, flash), so does anyone have any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?
