Its only when I use Firefox (I use both IE and Firefox for work) and only if I do something like go to youtube.com that causes Firefox to load the Flash plugin. Randomly I get a double ding. I know its the Flash plug in because I see the volume on the Volume Mixer going up when it happens. Its totally random, not needing user input because I can have the laptop running, get up to get a drink/make something to eat/go to the bathroom and I hear the ding ding from across the house.
For reference I'm running:
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit
IE is version 11.0.96 something or other
Firefox is 25.0.1
The Shockwave Flash plug in that Firefox is running is 11.9.900.152
How do I get it to stop?
The random dinging is driving me batty! It will sometimes do it twice a minute. Then go quiet for 10. Then 5 times in 3 minutes. Its totally unpredictable and causes me to have my sound muted 90% of the time which is unacceptable. I cant uninstall Firefox permanently, I need it specifically for work.
