For several months, whenever I try to watch an online video that uses Flash Player, the video freezes very early, and I'm never able to finish watching it. I have spent hours searching for solutions and reading blogs, and have tried various solutions, but to no avail. The only thing that works, is if I install an archived version, specifically Flash Player version 11.7.700.232. With that installed, everything works fine, but anything more recent, and I get the freezing problem.
It would seem to me there is either a bug in the newer versions, or a conflict in these newer versions with something that I have running. I would like some ideas on knowing how to resolve this. I don't mind using the older FP, but when I have it installed, the websites will tell me that I need to install the latest version of FP in order to watch the videos.
Does someone have a solution, or a workaround so that I could disable whatever version checker causes the warning about not having the latest FP installed?
Thanks!
