Problems with Flash Player - Windows 8 and IE 10 - Google Street View

I recently had a problem with MSN that related to the Flash Player in Windows 8 Desktop Internet Explorer.  They recommended that I uninstall Flash Player, going as far as using the Flash Player removal tool.  At the time I did not know that it was imbedded into Windows 8.

Since then, when I enter Street view on Google Maps, I get at least three of the dialog boxes shown in the first two Capture(x).jpg that I have attached.  If I press the "Dismiss All" button, the image clears and I can navigate anywhere in Street View.  If I exit Street View and then go back in, I get the error box again.  This happens anywhere I go into Street View, so this has nothing to do with the location I chose for illustration.  The Google Maps site is in my Trusted Sites Security setting, and I have reset the IE.

I have tried to reinstall Flash Player, uninstall again, and it still exhibits this problem.  When I go to the download area the Flash Player website still thinks I have Flash installed, though it is showing an older version than what they say is current.  I do not get this error using Chrome (and no, I don't want to just use Chrome, I want to fix the problem).  This doesn't happen on my new Surface Pro, or my son's Windows 8 computer which is nearly identical to mine.  I must have broken something.

I have Windows 8 Pro installed as an upgrade to Windows 7 Pro.  I am running an Intel Core i7-3770k - 3.5 GHz on a P8Z77-V Asus motherboard with 8 GB ram.

P. S. I also had a challenging time attaching these images.  I would click Attach another File in the upload dialog box and nothing would happen.  The web page had to be recovered before it worked.
