Disabled hotkeys and menus in Flash Projector

The Flash Projector is a great tool for testing Flash projects in a sandbox. It’s also hand as a runtime for little tools like replacing some of Windows Sidebar gardgets by running a little Flash document in a projector.

The problem is that the projector’s normal hotkeys and menus can be disabled by the Flash document. This makes it impossible to change the view mode (100%, show-all, full-screen), to change the quality, to control the playback (rewind, play, etc.), or even open or close a document. Moreover, when a Flash document disables the hotkeys and menus, it applies to other documents that you drag-and-drop in the same projector.

I first noticed this issue when trying to play some Flash games with the projector. For example, you can download the Submachine games to play offline, but when you do, they can be too small to see and play. A few of them (e.g., Submachine 6) will not disable the hotkeys and menus, so you can switch it to show-all and maximize the window to scale it up so that you can see better. But some (e.g., Submachine 5) will disable them so you must play it in a tiny frame.

This problem occurs with both the relase and even debug versions of the projector and there is no setting to control this.

It makes sense to have release version behave as the document intends, but the debugger version should allow the user/tester to control things better. Ideally, it would leave the hotkeys active, and hide the menu if the document says, but let the dev override that with a hotkey and restore the menu.
