Apparently, this years episode of Update Flash Player has started.

Last week, the  abominable Adobe little info box showed up on my screen informing me I needed to update  the Adobe Flash Player.  To ensure that I understand, Adobe also shuts off my capability to receive and watch videos until compliance with their request to update is complete.  Recalling difficulty in past attempts to do this, I tried to resist.  My software informed me that my version of flash player integrated  in Windows 8 is sufficient and updates are not needed at this time.  After trying to resist, I ignored gut feeling and went ahead with the update--just to end this pain.  We downloaded and Adobe said all went well--go forth and use.  Well, the download operation was not successful, it did not work--just like last year.  So, I have been sending Adobe some rather obnoxious feedback statements (three separate notes) making my feelings plainly understood and questioning their competency.  And, those are serious questions.  I have other Adobe products and they are updated (too often) but their process is slick--no downtime  and no foolish black boxes that shut me off from society!

Now, this has gone on since last Thursday or Friday.  I have , at times, luckily evaded detection from Adobe that I have made  a connection to watch videos.  Usually, they detect it as the video comes on or after a few minutes and the little black box appoears and shuts me off and I cannot receive videos..  This a is quite irritating!  It is obvious that my system is operational except for their interfering.   If people have a problem with receiving videos, I am pleased to know that Adobe has a product to help.  I think it is up to those people to decide if they want to use the Adobe product.  If they want/need it, then they can request it.  I think we should alert  the FCC/FTC and inforn them of the current practices employed by Adobe and get the interruptive "info box" off our screens and for them to inform Adobe of that fact.

I will draft a letter to the appropriate Gov't agencies  and send Adobe a copy as mailed.  I certainly hope you have  a method to employ to remove the obnoxious info box that cuts me off from videos and  informs me that I must accept the update.  I am asking that the interruption of service/capability  be removed immediately.  I would hope that is complete by Monday evening.

Thanking you in advance,

Harry Schuss
