*updated* I thought this was related to having a 64 bit version of Vista, but I just realized my version here at work is 32 bit. So both versions of Vista Ultimate on two seperate systems having this problem with flash. Apparently Flash isn 't supported in Vista 64 bit I just read somewhere, I'm not sure why, but afaik 32 bit is supported though. Is this a known issue or is there a workaround?
Problem description: When watching a flash video, such as anything on youtube, it will completely hang/freeze the system a few minutes into the video, at which point the cursor freezes in place on the screen, and the computer will accept no input, no ctrl-alt-del even, causing me to manually force a powerdown/ restart on the system. Ugh! I've had this problem before with previous flash versions and not sure what causes it, only a flash update seemed to have fixed it in the past on my home system. Being that it is happening on two seperate systems now, one being a completely fresh install of windows, and one being 32 bit and the other 64 bit, it seems the problem might lie with it being Vista Ultimate, or Vista in general. Maybe it has something to do with youtube, I'm not sure what other sites to test flash videos on though.
Any help would be great, thanks.
